Tested by PGA coach Ross Eves, the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity is a spikeless, waterproof golf shoe built around Pebax superfoam — running-shoe cushioning brought to golf for the first time — and it costs $199 in the US (£189 in the UK).
Comfort is where this shoe wins. The sole genuinely feels like walking on clouds — one of the comfiest pairs I have worn — and it is seriously light. The toe box is wide enough to feel anatomical and natural without going as far as the original TRUE shoes, so your foot still feels secure, even if the roominess can feel a touch big on some days. I wear mine with orthotics with no problem at all.
On the course, the traction is fine in dry conditions, but as a UK-based pro I would not trust it once the ground turns dewy, wet or muddy, and I would not play a competition in them. They carry a waterproof guarantee, but the perforated tongue has small holes, so in real rain you can get a little wet across the top of the foot. For me these are a teaching shoe, a quick nine, an easy eighteen — and, honestly, they have become my go-to everyday trainer off the course.
They suit a more casual golfer who plays in nice, dry weather, or anyone who just wants a genuinely comfortable, good-looking trainer with a wide, foot-friendly toe box. If you need serious all-weather grip, you will want a proper spiked shoe instead.
