Tested by PGA coach Ross Eves, the ProSENDR Connection Sphere is a connection training aid that costs around $79.99 (roughly £63). It Velcros to your forearm and sits between your arms to hold the "triangle" through the swing. It's larger than the small compression sphere bundled with the ProSENDR cradle, with a groove moulded to match your forearm so it stays snug — and you can wear the strap on either your lead or trail arm depending on which connection you want to feel.
I've tried plenty of "ball between the forearms" trainers over the years — this one is effectively a clever dog toy — but the compression feel is the best I've used for holding that triangle. It's the most comfortable connection ball I've reached for, and honestly one of the best out there.
What I like is how many jobs it does. It trains a solid trail-arm structure in the backswing and follow-through, it's my go-to for killing a chicken-wing and a disconnected release, and you can bias it either way: face it outwards for width, or pinch it at the top to feel the club shallowing. The feel I chase is an external squeeze into the ball with the inside of my forearm, then just hold on through the shot.
It's light enough to hit full shots with — including driver — so it isn't distracting during normal swings, and that's a big part of why it transfers. I use it both inside the ProSENDR cradle, in place of the small bundled sphere, and completely on its own.
A few honest notes: it's a larger ball, so it can be a touch awkward to store, though it still travels fine — I'll often just wrap the strap around the top of my clubs. And at around $79.99 it's a premium price for a connection ball. If budget is the priority, the TRS ball and the Impact Ball do a similar job for less — but for comfort and quality this is the one I keep reaching for.
